Successful night @ CBS 21 Medical Marijuana Town Hall

Last night was such a success! Dane's mother, sister, and nana attended the Central Penn College Town Hall regarding medical marijuana hosted by CBS21 News. The original program was an hour long from 7-8pm, but it ended up being extended for an extra 30 minutes due to the high interest in the topic from the audience and viewers. We arrived almost an hour early to make sure we had good seats, we were told there was going to be a good turnout. We were honored to speak with Rep. State Senator Mike Folmer who is the prime sponsor for SB3, the bill allowing for the medical use of marijuana for PTSD patients in PA. He had tears in his eyes as we told him as much of Dane's story as we could. We gave out about 30 business cards to individuals at the event with the memorial webpage information on them so they can come here to learn more about our cause. We even got one into Montell Williams hands :) As you will see in the pictures below, we brought a basket that contained all of Dane's medication that he was prescribed by the VA as his treatment for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety. Dane's mom bravely spoke up about the harsh side effects that he experienced while taking the pharmaceuticals, and how he used marijuana to make him feel human again. We want to thank all the panel members for attending and discussing this topic that definitely needs to be in the spotlight, and of course CBS 21 for making this whole program happen!!!!! Everyone make sure to contact your local representatives and express your support for SB 3, allowing patients to use medical marijuana for PTSD!
