Dogs TAGS

Dog T.A.G.S. (Train Assist Guide Serve), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a service dog owner training program for veterans suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and/or MST (Military Sexual Trauma). The veteran trains his/her personal dog with the help of experienced dog trainers. We have veterans who have served in conflicts ranging from Vietnam to present day Iraq and Afghanistan.

Veterans and their loved ones can call 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, chat online, or send a text message to 838255 to receive confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Support for deaf and hard of hearing individuals is available.

PA Wounded Warriors, Inc.

PAWW is an independent statewide non-profit 501©(3) organization providing support to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Veterans in Crisis, and their families. We are not affiliated with nor a part of any national organization, including Wounded Warrior Project, and we do not receive any funds from them. We provide emergency financial assistance to veterans to help pay for housing, utilities, transportation, medical and other expenses. We pay directly to landlords, vendors and creditors.
TAPS: Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.

Program funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides low-income veteran families with services aimed at preventing homelessness and improving their stability. Serving Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Perry and York counties. Services may include: case management, transportation assistance, housing counseling, budgeting, employment resources, temporary financial assistance, and assistance with benefits.

The National Center for PTSD is dedicated to research and education on trauma and PTSD. We work to assure that the latest research findings help those exposed to trauma.
JFT Recovery and Veteran Services

JFT Recovery and Veterans Support Services is a 501(c)3 non-profit community organization devoted to offering safe, structured, and compassionate housing to those seeking recovery. We also provide addiction education and advocacy for the
recovery community in Central Pennslyvania.

Founded in 2006, we now maintain two recovery houses in the Harrisburg area, as
well as a community center to provide addiction education and direct services to
individuals seeking recovery.
