"The Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey held its "Straws and Stripes" summer music festival dedicated to friends and family in the armed forces.
The event showcased several music acts, headlined by Creedence Clearwater revival tribute band, "Green River."
Included were wine tastings, artisan vendors, rides in a tethered hot air balloon and a food truck mash-up.
More than $7,500 was raised at the event to benefit the volunteer organization, Dog T.A.G.S. Dog T.A.G.S. (Train Assist Guide Serve) is a service dog owner training program for veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury."
Retired Army Sgt. Mike Zink from Mechanicsurg received Sarge, a german shepherd puppy through the Cpl Dane Freedman PTSD Service Dog Fund late last year. Him and Sarge are both active participants in the Dog T.A.G.S program. The event this past weekend raised $7,500 to benefit the organization! AWESOME!!!
