Dane's mother, Donnamarie tells his story today at the Vietnam Veterans of America chapter 542 in Ha
Seven months ago, on December 13, 2013, our lives changed forever when Dane took his own life after his long struggle with post traumatic stress disorder. Today, his mother Donnamarie showed amazing strength and courage as she told his story at the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 542 in Harrisburg, PA. It was a tearful presentation, and it ended with a standing ovation. We couldn't be more proud of her strength she displayed today!! The organization decided on a $1,000 donation to the Cpl Dane Freedman PTSD Service Dog Fund. We also recieved two other separate $1,000 donations towards the fund, which means altogether we raised $3,000 towards placing German Shepherd puppies with struggling veterans. We cannot express our gratitude enough. God is good, there are truly amazing people out there! Thank you thank you!
