Update on Sarge
In the beginning of May, we were able to place "Sarge" with retired Army Sgt Mike Zink from Enola, PA thanks to all the generous donations we have receieved to the Cpl Dane Freedman PTSD Service Dog Fund. We cannot thank our donors enough or our breeder Kay Dale, for making this possible.
We met with Mike, his wife Shirley and son Brady today with Sarge and we are happy to report that he is doing great! He got to go swimming in our pool and played a little bit with our dogs, Gunnar and Blue.
Mike is still attending weekly training at Dog T.A.G.S. in Mechanicsburg, PA and Sarge is currently working on the Canine Good Citizen Program. Many dog owners choose Canine Good Citizen training as the first step in training their dogs. The Canine Good Citizen Program lays the foundation for other AKC activities such as obedience, agility, tracking, and performance events. Way to go Sarge!! So much activity for a pup who is only 5 months old. Can you feel the love?!?! We sure did!
